Burgers and fries at Sheffield Five Guys
Today I'm going to talk to you about my favourite topic, food. I love food some people eat to live, I'm definitely in the live-to-eat category and cannot get enough of eating out and trying lots of yummy food. All in the name of research of course so I can review all the places to eat in Sheffield so you know where to go. First up today is Five Guys Sheffield, this particular one is at Valley Centertainment which is where I also went to see Captain Marvel.
Valley Centertainment is basically an entertainment complex. It has a Cineworld Cinema, Hollywood Bowl, and lots of eating establishments. I'm definitely going to have to try and review them all check out my Nandos Sheffield Valley Centertainment review here
There is also a Five Guys Sheffield Meadowhall in the Oasis. Which is perfect if not everyone loves Five Guys as you can get your food and sit in the communal area. Or the newest addition to the Five Guys Sheffield family is on The Moor right in the city centre.

Five Guys Review
I confess I reached the age of 26 without ever trying a Five Guys burger despite there being three different Five Guys Sheffield locations.
I can't believe what I've been missing out on, for some reason I always avoided beef burgers when eating out because I prefer thinner burgers and find restaurants think you want a huge chunk of meat that doesn't fit in your mouth. I've since learnt that my preference is a smashed burger which is what Five Guys specialise in. Connor assured me I HAD to try a Five Guys burger so I checked out the menu, the beef is 120-day grain finished, juicy, and completely melt-in-the-mouth delicious. The thickness of the pattie was just how I like it.
You can choose from a regular burger or a little burger, a regular has two patties whereas a little burger has just one pattie. The staff starts making the burger when you've ordered it so you know it's completely fresh. The great thing about Five Guys is that the burger is fully customizable with such a wide selection of salads and sauces all at no extra cost. If you love a loaded burger you can ask for it all the way to get a good mix of toppings.
I had a Five Guys Little Bacon Cheeseburger topped with Mustard and Ketchup, the bun was soft and tasty, the burger itself cooked to perfection and the bacon was super crispy giving the burger a little texture not to mention the melting cheese in the middle. My mouth was over the moon from the first bite and I demolished it all. It was completely delicious and I totally understand the hype
The burgers are epic but for me, the best part of Five Guys was the fries, freshly cooked when you order you can choose plain or spiced fries, both are delicious and you get gigantic portions too, we shared a medium fries and there was plenty to share.
From a price point Five Guys can seem quite expensive for what it is, but if you share fries (huge portions) then it brings the cost down. We've even been known to share a fountain drink as they're unlimited making it even cheaper.
All in all my first Five Guys experience has left me wanting more and to try lots of different combinations and I can't wait to go back and try the milkshakes too.
Five Guy's Sheffield isn't fine dining, it's fast food but on another level. The taste will cost you a premium compared to regular fast food but it's worth it
