Land of Rugs Review
One of the best parts of owning my own home has definitely been finally getting the opportunity to put all my interior ideas into practice throughout the home including the bathroom and bedroom. I have so many different ideas of things I want to do to make the house more homely but my main area of focus is definitely my living room.
It's the place I spend the most time, it's where I entertain any guests, and in the summer it's the place I chill out in front of the patio doors. I've been working with Land Of Rugs* recently and was very kindly gifted this beautiful Ridge rug in duck egg blue
Land of Rugs Review
I'm completely in love with this rug! It's so luxuriously soft I just want to lay on it all day long. The Ridge Rug has a hand-carved pile giving it the 3D rectangular effect you can see. It has a high-density pile and the fibres have subtle tonal variations including light-reflecting sheen giving the rug an opulent look.I adore how it looks in my living room it brings the room together and gives it the splash of colour that my monochrome room has needed. Its available in 3 different sizes with prices ranging from £59.95 - £174.95 which is affordable for a rug of this quality
I've had the rug for a few weeks now and have found it durable and easy to care for. The texture and fluffiness is easily restored with a quick whizz with a vacuum cleaner. I've been using my Vax to keep it looking its best, Spares2You* have a wide range of Vax & Dyson parts, to help keep your floors, carpets and rugs in brilliant condition.

Further Duck Egg Blue Accents
My living room at the minute has a grey fluffy carpet, magnolia walls, and black and white chevron curtains. My sofa is a steel grey too so it has a very monochrome feel, I still like all the pieces I've curated but the addition of the Duck Egg Blue Ridge Rug from Land of Rugs has added the splash of colour it needed
It has made me want to accent the room more with more splashes of colour. I'm thinking of creating a feature geometric wall and incorporating duck egg blue into the design. I might even get my DIY on and paint an Ikea Kallax unit. Keeping my design neutral and monochrome means I can switch up the colours whenever I get bored too.
I'm now going to use my key piece of a land of rugs ridge rug to create a mood board to complete the rest of my room to make it homely and personalized with accents that really reflect me and Connor.
What colour scheme do you have in your living room?
That rug is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of the duck egg blue. I am moving house at the end of the month and I already have my kitchen planned with that colour. hehehe x
Me too it's such a gorgeous colour and so easy to find things to match
DeleteI'll admit I'm not sure about the pattern on the rug but love the colour and it looks super soft! Assuming they do other patterns so I will check them out, thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThey have a huge range of different patterns if plain is more your type
DeleteI love this colour! It's so light and fresh - it's definitely going to be my first choice when I finally get a house! As we rent at the moment we can't really decorate so my living room is magnolia but hoping we'll be buying somewhere soon. Great post, and I love your cat! 😊
ReplyDeleteHaha thankyou! She's a complete poser
DeleteOh I do love a good colour!
ReplyDeleteWe're just in the process of decorating our hallway at the moment, so far I've said to paint it white and then add ALL the colour (I'm going to do the same with the other rooms too!)
I moved into my house last year so it was completely magnolia!
