101 goals in 1001 days - 400 day check up
A whole 400 days since I started my Day Zero Project and my 101 goals who could have predicted where the world would be and how it would change back when I started this. It's been a strange time the last few months but I've tried to keep going with my goals

Start - 19th March 2019
End - 14th December 2021
- Go on a Hot air balloon ride - 400 days later and can I find the voucher? Can I hell. Maybe lockdown cleaning will make it reveal itself
- Go to Disneyland Paris
- USA Roadtrip
- Complete a reading challenge - I'm aware I'm way into 2020 but I'm continuing with my Popsugar 2019 reading challenge . I'm 16/39 and managed to finish my 16th book, I need to read more I'm just really not feeling it
- Visit all Premiership and EFL Grounds - SUFC and WWFC complete, right now I'd just take watching football I'm missing it so bad
- Midnight movie Premiere
- Go to Cadbury World - We went here in July and I really enjoyed it proper chocoholic
- 20k social media followers combined - Another jump! I've reached 14k and only 300 away from 15k, I'll try and hit that the next 100 days
- Attend a blog event
- Partner with a local company on my blog - I've partnered with 3 amazing foodie locations local to me Hotel Du Vin York, Turtlebay and Piccolino . Since The last update I've added The Botanist to this list
- Go on a Cruise
- 'Try' Pinterest pins rather than just pinning and leaving - I've continued doing this, most recently to help me plan our Disney honeymoon, I've made a huge list of things to Try while we're in Orlando
- Have a full day at the cinema - We completed this I saw a few films in a day and I loved it
- Swim in an infinity pool - Completed on our Cape Verde holiday
- Say Yes for an entire week - I did this in February and it was good, I ended up doing things I would've normally said no to, I definitely want to do it again for a bit longer
- Pay off my car finance - All done and my little red beep beep is all mine
- Earn enough blog income to cover at least half of the household bills
- Reach 25000 sessions on my blog per month
- Order from every takeaway that delivers to me on Just Eat - I've now written a second Takeaways in Sheffield post, Lockdown is definitely meaning more opportunities for this one
- Go dog sledding
- Completely clear my old bedroom of stuff, sell what I don't want - I've managed to complete this! I sold a lot and threw a lot too there's not a lot of stuff now from my mums that isn't already at my house
- Do a food challenge
- Be a bridesmaid - In August I was absolutely thrilled to by the Bridesmaid for my mum and dad finally after 20 years together
- Get engaged - OMG it actually happened I can't believe it October 20th Connor proposed and I'm the happiest girl alive
- Get married - Absolutely in progress for a September 2020 wedding - holding out breath real tight hoping lockdown has gone away so this can happen as planned
- Have a baby
- Spend a night in a tree house
- Go to an airport and get the next flight
- Harry Potter tour in Edinburgh
- Get professional business cards for my blog - I did this! And adore my new business cards
- Hold a car boot
- Go on the Eurostar
- Survive Brexit - Who knew this was the tip of the shit iceberg!
- Own all the Harry Potter Lego - I got the Knight bus for my birthday that I need to build
- Win a quarterly award at work - I won a quarterly award, in my 3rd year of being there. I've been working consistently hard and leading the league table in my section for the majority of the year
- Get in the car and flip a coin, make an adventure wherever we end up - We did this in Autumn and ended up having a lovely trip to Redmires Resevoir purely through flipping a coin
- Go to the Electric Cinema in London
- Watch every Disney movie in order - I am absolutely smashing through this now Disney+ is a thing, we've been starting every lockdown morning with a Disney film
- Go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
- Go to Iceland and visit the Blue Lagoon
- See the Northern Lights
- Go to Stonehenge
- Do a skydive
- Do a bungee jump
- Decorate the house so not all the walls are magnolia
- Go to New Orleans during Mardi Gras
- Donate Platelets / Blood on a regular basis
- Complete a random act of kindness
- Go to Rome
- Visit Wales
- Visit Ireland
- Stand under a waterfall
- See 10 shows / concerts - 3/10 American Idiot, Brydon Mack and Mitchell, Dick Whittington Pantomime, (Friendsical tickets bought for my birthday so can tick another one off soon)
- Visit Oxford on Alice's Day (July 6th)
- Clear out all my clothes so everything fits on one rail
- Keep logging our life together in our memory book - We updated this to the start of this year, I love documenting our life together
- Visit New York
- Go to Alton Towers at Halloween - So it wasn't Halloween... BUT we did go to Alton Towers so I'm ticking this one off
- Buy a BBQ
- Make the garden a nice place - Our garden is really nice and tidy but furniture is on the backburner until after the wedding I think
- Watch LOTR
- Lose weight - This is always going to be an ongoing thing
- Explore Sheffield, keep ticking things off Tripadvisor - Now at 155 but obviously taken a bit of a backburner while we stay home
- Create a freebie/something useful for my blog visitors
- Put up the pictures that are still in the kitchen in a pile - Success haha! I now have pictures on my magnolia walls
- Send 5 just because gifts - Completed I bought 5 girls lockdown gifts off their amazon wishlist I saw on twitter just because we all need a little happy to get through this madness
- Blog twice a week consistently - I'm really seeing a difference from blogging more in terms of traffic etc. so I'm definitely going to keep that up
- Organise all of mine and Connors stuff into the house - Long and ongoing process!
- Celebrate our 3rd anniversary
- Try a new food once a month - I try! But I'm definitely a creature of habit
- Try a new restaurant once a month - I'm loving doing this and Sheffield is full of so many wonderful places. I try to remember to do as many reviews as possible in my Eat Sheffield
- Do 50k steps on a weekly basis - HA! This just seems so ironic right now for real
- Have £5k saved up in a house fund
- Build my blog email list to 500 - I've not made much more progress than the 100 mark from last time, but then I haven't sent an email either whoops!
- Organise all photos from the laptop, phone etc. on to an external hard drive - Thank the lord I did this as my laptop did die, I'm so pleased I didn't lose anything
- Have a blog post go viral
- Watch a sunrise
- See England win the Euros
- Watch SUFC get promoted to the premiership - We're definitely going to get 2nd season in the prem and that is genuinely unbelievable
- Remind Connor I love him every day - This will always be ongoing but I'm definitely hitting it and making sure Connor knows how appreciated he is
- Turn the spare room into something useful/functional
- Go to a festival
- Go to Cornwall
- Visit the fairy pools in the Isle of Skye
- Cook through a whole cookbook - I've started this! I got a BBQ Cookbook when I celebrated National BBQ week so I've been working through the book
- Celebrate a holiday I normally don't - I don't normally do anything for New Years but we brought in 2020 in Edinburgh and I really enjoyed it
- Become a member at the board game cafe and visit often - Haven't been in the last 100 days so this definitely needs to change because we do love it there
- Complete 10 jigsaws - 3 complete (mini HP one, Big repeating pattern Harry Potter one, Disney Panaromic) - We've made a big dent in the anniversary one but it's a lot trickier than others we've completed
- Donate / Buy items for RSPCA Sheffield - I've been buying items from their amazon wishlist most months
- Write a short story
- Brew our own beer in the shed
- Do something that scares me once a year (1/3) - I think we can count living through a global pandemic as my first scare of the challenge. It definitely isn't one I wanted
- Join a book club
- Go on our Honeymoon - This is all booked and planning in progress just praying we get there
- Attend a Murder Mystery Weekend
- Visit a 'Dark Tourist' hotspot
- Go on a Hen Do - I went to Edinburgh for my friend Sarahs and also had a fun night in Sheffield for my Mum's Hen do so double tick here
- 101 progress report every 3 months - I'm finding the updates really good to focus me on what to do for the next 100 days
- Try all the lush bath bombs they sell - Up to 11, I really need to do a proper blog post on this
- Win a fantasy football league
- Start a new 101 list
On my 300 day update I was on 15 completed and 28 part completed, now I'm on 20 completed and 27 part completed. I'm really pleased to see progress and that my part completed list is still keeping strong too. It's obviously really difficult right now to get some of these completed or make any progress so I'm just going to do what I can and appreciate the hand we've all been dealt and hope that in 100 days time we're in a much better place
What goal should I focus on next?

ReplyDeleteHow are you finding the wedding planning in this chaos? Ours has just ground to a halt and despite being December the current update has me a tad worried. We did send out our invites online though which felt quite monumental.

DeleteIt's pretty crazy, luckily I'd planned most things already and got a dress etc. we've got our notice appointment rebooked back in for July. It's stressful but I try not to think about it, certainly not the ideal wedding planning time
