Keeping my mind clear playing online games
Life can be pretty challenging, can't it? I lose count how many times a week I have to stop to take a breath because I have a million and one things running through my mind. Whether that's practical tasks I need to complete such as cleaning the house, looking after my baby or blogging to make a little extra money. Or even bigger thoughts overwhelming me such as the cost of living, the war in Ukraine and the pandemic - it's really hard to just switch off and give my brain a break. One thing I absolutely love to do is play free online games
Gaming to me is the perfect way to leave reality and enter into a virtual world and have fun. Whether that's playing using a console, playing solo or even incorporating gaming into date nights. It's a great way to clear my mind from the stresses of daily life and have fun.
I also like to switch up what kind of games I'm playing which is why I've found Plays.org to be such a fab place to find new and exciting games. Their back catalogue has literally thousands of games from all categories such as simulation, card games, action games and even two player games. All of the games are present on the site with no downloads required and no messy ads getting in the way. The games have also been optimised to be played on mobile so you can game on the go.
If you're looking to give your brain a challenge while destressing there are even crossword challenges and brain training plus educational games perfect to keep the kids quiet while still teaching them everything from phonics to maths.
Benefits of gaming
While I use gaming as a tool to destress it does have lots of other benefits too which are often overlooked such as improving cognitive abilities such as visuospatial ability and problem-solving.
Another positive to gaming is the ability to multi-task, most games require you to balance tasks to achieve a goal while playing can help distract you from everyday life it can also help your awareness of multi-tasking and how you can apply this to your everyday tasks. The gaming benefits are vast, its a super fun activity but actually gives your brain a workout and improves your gray matter which can boost memories, muscle control, perception and many more brain connections.
Ultimately gaming and online games is my escape and I love that through that fun I'm also improving my brain and having fun
